How long does the season run?
We hope you're having an awesome summer!
September is around the corner and the Match Play Masters 2019-2020 bowling season at Melody Lanes is almost here. We have some very exciting news for the upcoming season: this week, Melody Lanes began extensive renovation work. New lanes and pin setters; new approaches; new consoles and monitors; new seating... you get the picture here? Everything will be upgraded for the new season! :-)
Our first night of bowling will be Thursday, September 12, 2019. In preparation, we would like to draw up a list of returning bowlers for the draft and the team-building process.
Please reply to this email to confirm whether you are bowling this season. Even if you are not planning on returning, please let us know! Also, please hit the "REPLY ALL" button so that your response to this email will go to all of the league officers. Don't worry, it won't go to all of the other bowlers!
If you're aware of other bowlers who might be interested in joining Match Play Masters, this would be a really good time to let us know. Just pass along their contact information and we'll take care of the rest.
More info soon! In the meantime, please REPLY to this email so we don't have to chase you down! Thanks.
and will run for 30 weeks, until the beginning of May.

What if I’m not a good bowler?
Match Play Masters is a handicap league which means that bowlers,
with a lower average, are given extra pins up front to make them
competitive with the higher average bowlers.
(handicap is 80% of the difference of a bowler's average from 220).
Additionally, the way the draft is conducted at the start of the season
tends to equalize team averages to keep competition tight.
